Letter from Thida

Hi my name is Thida

I’m 12 years old, and I am a year 8 at Pt England School.

My mum came to New Zealand when she was pregnant with me.

My mum is from Thailand, and my dad is from Myanmar.

The rest of my family members live in Australia, Myanmar and Thailand.

My favorite subject at school is reading because I can work in a group with my
friends.

I like trying new things out like sports, art, and travelling.

Recently in 2016 I went to Australia in Queensland, Townsville to visit my
Grandma, cousins, aunt and uncles.

It was amazing, I went to school there for 2 ½ weeks and it was quite enjoyable.

My favorite….

Food : French fries dipped in Butter Chicken.

Colour : Mint

Sport : Netball

Fruit : Pineapple and Strawberry

Hobbies : Listening to music, Art, Sleeping.

Attitude Talk

Today we had Jannah from Attitude come and talk to us about

what may cause of losing a friend.

Friendship Tips :

1. Be friendly : Being friendly is as simple as smiling at each other.

2. Be yourself : Being yourself allows you to have the real, genuine friendships.

3. Be positive : To be positive you could say nice things about each other instead of
saying means things.

4. Remember the special times : You could remember your great old memories, so when
someone says did you remember what happened 2 weeks ago you could tell them what you
remembered of what happened.

5. Learn to listen: You need to listen when your friend or somebody is telling you something.

6. Remember names : Remember somebody's name when you are introducing someone to
another person, because it shows that you respect them and you care for them.

Today we had a activity to do . I helped my group by going around and helping them ask kids what food do they want to cook as a lesson.
In my group there was Mamarei, and Izaiah.
The options that we decided to ask was Cheese cake, Chocolate fudge, Butter Chicken, Sushi, Chocolate Pancake with maple syrup, Chocolate ice cream. The main dish that everyone wanted to learn how to cook was Butter Chicken because they mostly picked  that

I would like to learn how to cook more foods.
I would like to do more art and learning.
I want to read more chapter books.

I want to learn how to cook my favorite food.

The Bush

On a cold morning a family went hunting for some animals on their way they found a bush it was pretty huge it was kinda near a forest there were so many huge bush but there was one different looking bush it looked pretty weird it had 3 flax only and it was rotten. It smelt like rotten fish from the sea a whole bunch of people went walking past the stinky old looking bush they said it smells like stinky shoes.I couldn't believe that one person said it smelt nice when the lady said that it smelt nice i was going cut the bush off it’s not my property so i’m not going to do that i left that i still wanted to cut off but in my head i was thinking i will be in big trouble so i didn’t do i could not take it so i decided to break the rules i cutted the bush off and what the manager said i had to pay 1,000 dollar to remake a new bush i said’’ no do not remake a new stinky bush the judge said’’. Did you just say stinky bush” that’s is it the judge said i’m not making a new stinky bush !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I yelled so then i planted a new nice smelling bush instead. But i said what do you mean it’s not a stinky bush well smell it said the judge no way i’m not smelling that stinky i will dunked head into the bush if you don’t smell it fine okay 5’4’3’2’1 go OMG that smells delicious.
